Basic Info
Name:Orochimaru
Birthdate:10-27
Bio
CHARACTER INFO:
Name: Orochimaru
Fandom: Naruto
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance:
Orochimaru’s most defining features are his eyes; they’re an odd amber color, gold shot through with flecks of green. People have described them as eerie, but beautiful. They go well with his pale (almost paper-white) skin, and long black hair that he wears long and never cuts above his waist. He has taken to wearing purple eyeshadow, making him appear all the more snakelike. He is of medium build; strong, but not too muscular. His preferred colors to wear are black, purple, and any earth tones. Orochimaru is extraordinarily flexible, and his tongue may at times appear longer than usual, but other than that he is a handsome man on the short side of normal height.

Personality:
Orochimaru is driven, ambitious, and will gleefully do anything—and I mean anything to further his goals. He has sometimes been called cruel in his pursuit of knowledge and the highest honors there are to give. He is beyond that, an intelligent man, charismatic (although he often uses this to entice people into doing things for him and taking the fall), and a natural leader. He is innovative, but at the same time he likes the constancy of rules to follow, although he’s given to random acts of what-the-fuckery, simply because he hates it when things are boring—this stems from the fact that he is a genius with a mind like a small planet. Because he has always been set apart from the rest, Orochimaru tends toward chilliness and downright nastiness towards those he perceives to be below him in rank and intelligence.

ROLEPLAY:
How Your Character Got to Malaise House:
Orochimaru’s intelligence had been recognized from the time he was small; his parents, eager to stimulate their genius child’s mind, enrolled him in advanced classes at the best schools that they could afford. He prospered, rising to the top of his class with ease. But when he was seven, a tragic accident killed Orochimaru’s parents and left him an orphan, with a generous trust fund that would become available to him at sixteen years of age; the only condition being that he continue in his schoolwork.

Orochimaru was only too happy to comply, determined to learn everything he could from everyone he could. He closed up—not that he’d been very open to begin with—and was placed in the care of one of his teachers, Sarutobi. He made very few friends—the only two being Tsunade and Jiraiya, advanced students such as himself. Although he still sometimes saw them as being below him, they were the closest people he had to siblings when he was growing up.

He was encouraged at every turn, every opportunity made available to him, and when he finished secondary school two years ahead of those others his age, it was no surprise that he chose to go into the medical profession and enrolled as a university student at one of the most prestigious universities in eastern Europe. Given his great interest in snakes—rare, in Russia, but Orochimaru would travel to zoos and read books about them endlessly—it was originally assumed that he would go into zoology and become a herpetologist, but instead he chose molecular biology. It was at the time a new field, and Orochimaru fancied himself becoming one of the leaders in it upon his graduation.

During his undergraduate work, towards the end of his last year, Orochimaru had met and befriended (as much as he could befriend anyone) a young man named Uchiha Sasuke. This boy was also bright, ahead of his class, and the found an accord, of sorts, in their companionship. Orochimaru taught himself the art of manipulation on this boy, even going so far as to get him drunk one night and get him to have a tattoo placed on his shoulder. It was a Buddhist symbol that Orochimaru had adopted for his own, perverting its meaning into one of ownership. When he graduated and left for medical school, Orochimaru left the boy to pursue his own studies.

Tsunade, wanting to be a doctor, joined up with him. She’d gone to an all-girls university and gotten her degrees in biology and chemistry—then a very rebellious thing for a young woman to do. After they got into medical school together, however, things became increasingly rocky in Tsunade’s personal life; her brother and lover died. When she turned to Orochimaru for help he rebuked her, and she eventually dropped out. Jiraiya was in another university pursuing a career in literature, and as Orochimaru did not find that a suitable occupation, he cut ties with Jiraiya as well.

As of now, Orochimaru has taken a year off to get experience in the field prior to completing his degree. That is how he found Malaise House.

Symptoms Your Character Experiences (If Any): A woeful lack of regard for other people; egotism. Also he is obsessed with snakes.
